Radiological Protection in the Water Industry

Radiological Incidentals and SWIG, with the support of Nuclear Matters, the RSC WSF & SCI, are pleased to host this Workshop on Radiological Protection in the Water Industry. The radiological quality of potable waters, the behaviour of radionuclides in water and sewage treatment works, and the radiological protection of works’ personnel are not well understood in the water industry. Presentations from experts will provide an introduction to these issues, monitoring options and the actions managers should take when faced with emergency situations All of these issues and more will be discussed making this a must attend workshop for all with an interest in gaining a better understanding of radiological protection in the water industry. The workshop will be followed by a free tour of the JET facility at Culham. Spaces for the tour are limited and will be strictly assigned on a first come first served basis. So please register early to avoid disappointment!
